The workshop is mainly targeted at imparting knowledge to the participants on various aspects of implementing RFID Technology in library environment. RFID Technology has been a challenge for various librarians due to the investment involved and indepth technology know how that is required. Librarians who are already managing so many technologies within the library premise now have one more technology to manage both in terms of convincing the higher authorities and face challenges during implementation of RFID in the library.

Through various sessions in the workshop we want to cover all topics which can assist librarians right from understanding the technology to procurement of RFID and finally challenges that would be faced during implementation and how to overcome the same. Participants would be taken through a live demonstration of all RFID products which would help them understand role of each and every RFID hardware in the complete system.
