Customisable, affordable hardware — designed, built, and supported by engineers for engineering applications.
RapidRadio was spun off from an RFID research project incubated at Nirma University's technology business incubator. Every reader and module we ship is designed, engineered, and manufactured at our Ahmedabad facility — which means we can tweak, customise, and price the hardware in a way that pure traders simply can't.
OEM customization is our default
Custom form factors, firmware tweaks, alternate interfaces (Wiegand, RS232, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), and OEM branding — built around your product, not the other way round. Customization is our standard offering, not an expensive upsell.
Made in India at affordable rates
Designed and manufactured in our Ahmedabad facility — no import margins, no inflated trader markups. You get serious RFID hardware at a price that makes the maths work for OEMs and integrators.
SDK and integration support included
SDK, API documentation, and code samples ship with every reader and module. Our engineering team helps your team get the integration working — not just hand over a datasheet and disappear.
HF and UHF — one vendor, full range
13.56 MHz for RFID HF Readers and OEM Modules — cards, access control, short-range work. 865-867 MHz for RFID UHF Readers and OEM Modules — long-range, parking, weighbridges, inventory. One vendor, full range across both frequencies.
Deployed across 10+ industries — with new sectors adopting it every day.
From battery-swap stations to weighbridge gates to factory production lines, our hardware quietly does its job in environments that don't forgive failure. A few of the applications where engineers have built on RapidRadio.
Parking management
UHF integrated readers at boom barriers for vehicle identification and access control. Hands-free entry and automated billing.
Weighbridge automation
Long-range UHF readers identify trucks the moment they approach the weighbridge. Eliminates manual entry and weighbridge fraud.
Factory & industrial automation
Production line tracking, tool monitoring, WIP visibility. HF and UHF readers embedded into machines and conveyor systems.
Supply chain & warehousing
Inbound/outbound dock automation, pallet tracking, inventory verification. UHF readers with auto-inventory mode for high-throughput scanning.
EV mobility & battery swap
Battery identification at swap stations, vehicle authentication, charging infrastructure. Embedded HF and UHF modules for OEM integration.
Asset tracking & inventory
IT asset management, tool crib control, document tracking, returnable asset logistics. Both fixed and handheld reader configurations.
HF or UHF — a quick decision guide.
The two frequencies serve different problems. HF reads cards and tags up close, one at a time. UHF reads many tags from a distance. Knowing which you need drives the rest of the hardware decision.
High Frequency
- Access control and contactless payments
- Time-and-attendance and document tracking
- Smart card reading (Mifare, ISO 14443A)
- NFC-compatible applications
- Where tags are presented deliberately to the reader
Ultra High Frequency
- Parking, vehicle identification, toll
- Weighbridge and logistics gates
- Warehouse and supply chain automation
- Inventory and asset tracking at scale
- Where tags must be read without human handling

What our customers say about our hardware.
Highly Recommended for Industrial RFID
We are using RFID based product in our highly recognized machine which we export in Europe/US based regions. Looking forward to seeing our business grow and prosper as this product is Made in India. So far, the support and quality are good, and I recommend it to those who are wanting to use low cost Industrial RFID Readers.
Going the Extra Mile from Day One
RapidRadio were the first vendors we contacted when we were at a seed stage for developing an indigenous bicycle sharing solution. Despite no firm order or commitment from us, the attitude of each and every team member and in particular of Dhaval to go out of the way, customize a solution and provide us with the same and that too in such a short time was commendable. We have been working with them for more than 7 years now and going strong.
Three Years of Faultless Performance
I have been using RFID Reader (Model No: RRHFOEM04-ETHR) past three years and have always been completely satisfied with their performance. They do excellent job, always punctual and they offer the most competitive rates. I am happy to recommend the service of RapidRadio.
Best Quality, Prompt After-Sales Support
RapidRadio supplies best quality RFID Readers and other products. Also after sales support is very good and prompt. We work with them since 2011 and we are very satisfied with products and support from RapidRadio and Team.
Transparency & In-House Design Stand Out
Talking about RapidRadio, their transparency as well as the quality of the products was of top notch. As an SCM professional, their mode of communication, in-house design as well as their assurance on the quality of their product is something that have impressed us. Looking forward to a positive relationship for many more years to come.
